About Us
Rotaract Club Sarajevo - Serving the community since 2001
District 1910 • Club 57481
What is Rotaract?
Rotaract is Rotary International's global program for young leaders (18+). It connects students and young professionals who take action in their communities, build leadership and professional skills, and form friendships through service. As part of the Rotary family (Rotary, Rotaract, Interact), clubs work alongside Rotary mentors, combining youthful energy with experience.
Our Story
Rotaract launched in 1968 in North Carolina when Rotary International founded the first Rotaract club to give young leaders a platform for community service.
Today Rotaract spans thousands of clubs in more than 180 countries, linked with local Rotary clubs and districts and focused on social impact, professional development, and international understanding.
Rotaract Club Sarajevo was founded in 2001 and serves in District 1910 (club 57481). We meet on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM at Hotel Europe, where students and young professionals plan humanitarian projects, collaborate with Rotary Club Sarajevo and nearby Rotaract clubs, and grow as future leaders of the Rotary community.
“Fellowship Through Service”
The Rotaract motto "Fellowship Through Service" reminds us that lasting friendships are built when we serve together and respond to community needs.
Rotaract Goals
Rotaract Club Sarajevo is guided by these goals:
- Equip young leaders to create visible impact in Sarajevo and across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Stay closely connected to the Rotary family, mentors, and partners who support our projects.
- Grow professional and leadership skills through workshops, projects, and networking.
- Promote international understanding, exchanges, and joint projects with Rotaract clubs worldwide.
Four Rotaract Avenues of Service
We live the Rotaract ideal through four avenues: club, professional development, community, and international service.
We build an open, friendly club: weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM, teamwork, project planning, and social events that connect members.
Workshops, mentoring, and company visits help members strengthen career and leadership skills.
Humanitarian and social projects in Sarajevo—from fundraising drives to education initiatives and volunteer events.
Networking with Rotaract clubs in District 1910 and worldwide, participating in exchanges, and delivering joint international projects.
Our Focus Areas
We empower young people who champion dialogue, inclusion, and peaceful solutions.
Initiatives around mental health, prevention, and support for those who need it most.
Clean-up actions and projects that expand safe access to water.
Workshops, mentoring programs, and support for students and learners.
Networking, company visits, and guidance for young entrepreneurs.
Projects that assist children, families, and people facing difficult circumstances.
